Meet David Zeltner musician and composer
My Background
I am a producer, composer, music director and multi-instrumentalist originally from the Philadelphia area. Starting at a very young age I studied piano, guitar, drums, composition, arranging and music theory privately with many sought after instructors including Ted Baker (keyboardist for Steely Dan), George Mesterhazy (pianist for world-renowned jazz artist Gary Burton) and Mr. James Amadie pianist for Woody Herman and Mel Torme as well as Berklee College of Music Guest Lecturer. I began playing professionally at the age of 15 and have performed in every major city of the United States as well as performance tours throughout Mexico and Puerto Rico. I served as a musical director and keyboardist in Atlantic City New Jersey performing with many artists at Trumps Castle, Tropicana Hotel, and Bally's Casino and Hotel.
My Journey
During the 80's and 90's I performed as an artist, clinician and product specialist for Ensoniq, Korg USA and the Roland Corporation which are some of the world’s largest manufacturers of synthesizer workstations, digital samplers, professional guitar equipment and state of the art recording devices. I composed product demos, conducted clinics, published articles and appeared in instructional videos for a number of high tech product releases. While on the road I had the privilege of working with or performing for a number of well known musicians including Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Oscar Peterson, REO Speedwagon, Keith Emerson, Dennis DeYoung , Chuck Leavell, Jordon Rudess, Jack Hotop, Lance Abair and many other wonderful musicians and composers.
The Present
Currently I own and operate David Zeltner Productions, a digital audio production studio as well as having the privilege of serving as Artist in Residence and Music Director for StoneBridge Church Community located in the University Area of Charlotte North Carolina. Though I have performed, written and produced a lot of music over the years, "the best production ever" :) was with my beautiful wife Karen and that would be the blessing of our amazing son and daughter Justin and Kailee!
